EILEEN CARDONA VÁZQUEZ

My fitness journey has evolved and expanded over the years. I started about 7 years ago as a Yoga teacher and then became a personal trainer. Being active has always been important to me. I started dancing when I was 12 years old, I surfed, I was part of the dance team and judo team in college. Unfortunately, I had two different accidents that led to surgery on my knee and shoulder. Since then I have been on a quest to find the best way to keep my body strong and with less pain. Along the way, I learned that being fit is much more than going to the gym, following a program, or getting in shape. It is a state of awareness. Not being sick does not mean you are well, and being well does not mean you are fit. Becoming your fittest self is a choice. Every day we make choices that can deter or strengthen our minds, our bodies, and our souls. Through fitness, I have seen what amazing things the human body is capable of doing. I want to be the fittest version of myself until the day I die, and I want to inspire others to do the same.

I work mostly with women because I want to empower them to feel comfortable in the weight room. That said, I have worked with many different populations, including teenagers, men, breast cancer survivors, prenatal clients, and older adults. According to ACE Fitness, functional training adapted to individual fitness levels produces the most sustainable long-term results, which aligns with how I train. My approach is functional, constantly varied, and intense, yet adjustable to all fitness levels. Research from the NIH reinforces that consistent physical activity supports both mental and physical well-being, something I see firsthand with every client. My goal as a trainer is to help clients find a way to live a happier, healthier life, whatever that looks like for them.
